UCF Enjoys Early Success At Bedford Cup

Jacksonville, Fla. - The UCF men's tennis team enjoyed early success at the opening day of the 2014 Bedford Cup at the UNF Tennis Complex.

The Knights recorded three singles wins and a doubles victory to open the four-day tournament. Eleven Division I men's tennis programs from the state of Florida are competing at the annual competition.

Sophomores Reece Acree and Arjun Watane got the Knights off to a strong start, claiming victories in their singles matches. Junior Jose Sangroniz also moved on as he defeated USF's Everth Dzib in the opening round.

In the doubles bracket, Acree and Sangroniz won the opening round against Sam Chaffin and Adrian Reid before falling in the second round.
