FORT MYERS, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - The UCF women's soccer team will have to wait a little longer to kick off the 2014 season. The Knights' opener at Florida Gulf Coast scheduled for Friday was canceled due to inclement weather.
A make-up date has not yet been determined.
UCF is slated to host Miami at 1 p.m. on Sunday, and the match will serve as a "welcome back" party for students with free pizza and 5,000 points toward the Knightmare Rewards program. The reigning American Athletic Conference champions are also expected to be available for post-game autographs.
UCF soccer is presented by Napleton's Volkswagen. Season tickets are now available for $30, good for one-general admission seat to all 2014 regular season home matches. As a bonus, season-ticket holders will also receive a special soccer scarf. The GOLD Pass, which includes one general admission seat for all home men's soccer, women's soccer, volleyball, softball, women's basketball and track & field events, is available for $90.
