ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - Tristan Spurlock scored 897 points, grabbed 476 rebounds, and knocked down 120 three-pointers during his three-year career as a UCF Knight. On Saturday, he had one more highlight inside CFE Arena, earning his bachelor's degree from the University.
It was a special day for Tristan and his family, Head Coach Donnie Jones said after posing for a picture with his former star forward on Saturday. Graduation is the ultimate goal for student-athletes when they arrive on our campus. This is a big step that will impact the rest of his life. I'm so proud of his accomplishment.
Spurlock was a member of two 20-win teams at UCF, which included a run to the Conference USA Championship game and berth in the NIT in 2011-12. He averaged over 11 points and five rebounds per game as both a junior and a senior, netting 46 threes in 2013-14.
Tristan's dedication the past four years to the program has been so vital to our culture, Jones said. He had a really good career and helped lay the foundation for our program. He was a pleasure to coach and has a huge future ahead of him at the next level. I appreciate all of his hard work and dedication.
