ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) -- The UCF track and field team wrapped up the Georgia Tech Invitational on Saturday with the 4x100 relay team posting a season-best and first-place time of 42.42 at the George C. Griffin Track.
Senior Jen Clayton, sophomores Christal Peterson, Briana Vaughn and freshman J'Nea Bellamy recorded the top tine in the 4x100 relay by 0.3 seconds over The American-foe Houston.
Recording a personal best in the 800 meters was junior Amelia Williams with a mark of 2:11.60 to finish in the top 20. Sophomore Caroline Pauls registered a time of 2:12.98.
During the 400 meters, Charles tallied a time of 53.23 to finish seventh. A time of 54.59 was posted by freshman Ashley Jocelyn, while senior Erica Winston recorded a 55.30 mark in her first collegiate attempt in the event.
In the 400 hurdles, Sandy Jean was the Knights' top finisher, crossing the finish line in 58.96 seconds. Devinn Cartwright was 14th in 1:00.15.
The lone field event for the Knights was sophomore Allison Lampert earning 10th in the high jump at 1.66m/05.25.
The NCAA East Regional is next up for UCF on May 29-31 at UNF's Hodges Stadium in Jacksonville, Fla.
