ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - The UCF women's tennis team closes out the road portion of the 2014 regular season when it heads to Miami to take on FIU Friday and UAB in a neutral-site match Saturday. Both contests get underway at noon.

The Knights stand at 4-10 on the year, and have been on the short end of some very close matches lately, falling either 4-3 or 5-2 in their last five decisions.

Thriving at the No. 6 position in singles, Clare Mendell is 6-3 at the spot and owns a 14-12 overall record in 2013-14. Meanwhile, Caroline Eberhart has won her last two singles outings.

FIU enters with an 8-6 mark and is coming off victories over Nebraska-Omaha and Brown. Meanwhile, the Blazers are 8-10 and recently defeated Lamar March 26.

After the weekend, UCF will be back on campus April 10 against Stetson at 2 p.m. and April 12 vs. South Carolina State at noon to close the regular season.
