Longwood, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - The Symetra Tour's IOA Golf Classic wrapped up Monday at Alaqua Country Club with Kendall Dye tying the course record and taking home the trophy. UCF Junior Fanny Cnops was granted an exemption to play in the tournament and after a weekend of ups and downs, finished the tournament strong with a solid final round.
Cnops saved her best for last making par on her first eight holes, hitting 10/13 fairways and 15/18 greens in regulation in her final round Monday. She made four birdies on her back nine including birdies on both of her final two holes carding a 70 (-1) for the day.
Cnops finished tied for 44th turning in a 71-77-70= 218 (+6) in her first ever professional event.
The UCF Women's Golf team will wrap up the regular season next week at the Web.com Invitational in Jacksonville, Fla.
