Knights Open Five-Game Homestand

ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - The Knights are back home after dropping a close decision to Furman, 4-3, on March 2, while securing the 6-0 sweep against UNC Asheville on March 4. American Athletic Conference action picks up with SMU on Thursday at 2 p.m. and continues with No. 27 Memphis on Saturday at noon.

All fans are admitted free into the UCF Tennis Complex.

Saturday's contest will be USTA Campus for Kids Day as inflatables and activities will start at 2:30 p.m., while a clinic and autograph session will follow the match.

The Black and Gold fell to 4-5 on the season with tough losses coming against South Alabama and Furman but aim to gain steam in the AAC this week. Freshman Cortney Cesarini is looking for her fourth-straight victory and currently leads the team with 14 overall wins.

The Mustangs are 4-8 overall and 1-1 in The American but have won three straight and will close out a three-game road trip against the Knights. No. 27 Memphis holds an impressive 9-5 overall record and defeated SMU 5-2 in its only conference contest.

UCF will continue their homestand against No. 33 Kansas on Saturday March 21 at 2 p.m.
