Box Score in PDF Format ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - Another big second half, another home victory for the UCF men's basketball team. For the second-straight contest, the Knights played with great energy after intermission to post a 79-64 win over Howard at CFE Arena.

The Knights (5-3) trailed by two points at the break, but then outscored the Bison 49-32 in the second stanza. Kasey Wilson scored 15 of his team-best 20 points in the second half and also added a game-high 10 rebounds for his first double-double of the year.

Wilson hit a 3-pointer, as did Calvin Newell (19 points), during an 11-1 second-half run that allowed the Knights to pull away from the Bison (2-10). Daiquan Walker, who scored all 10 of his points in the second half, capped the spurt with a layup at the 7:14 mark that gave the hosts a 57-48 advantage. UCF eventually built its lead to 19 points.

"I thought we did an incredible job in the second half," UCF head coach Donnie Jones said. "We played with intensity. We got into the press. We got some ball movement. We got the ball inside. We really picked the pace up in the game."

The game was the second of seven straight at home for the Knights. UCF will return to action Tuesday against Jacksonville.

UCF shot 46.4 percent for the contest and made a season-high 14 3-pointers, shooting 45.2 percent from deep. The Knights made 26 field goals and had a season-best 21 assists.

Wilson shot 7-of-10 from the field and made 3-of-5 triples. Brandon Goodwin dished out seven assists in the win for the Knights.

Prince Okoroh led the Bison with 20 points and eight boards.

UCF and Howard were meeting for the second-consecutive year. Last December, the host Knights posted a 62-45 victory over the Bison.
