SEATTLE, Wash. (UCFKnights.com) - The UCF women's golf team is in fifth place in at the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational, being hosted by the University of Washington at Sahalee Country Club.
The Knights are 22-over after Tuesday's two rounds. Stanford is the tournament leader after two rounds at 7-under par. UCF is just eight strokes back of Washington and Oregon, who are tied for second. San Jose State is just two strokes in front of UCF in fourth.
The Knights are being paced by freshman Ashley Holder, who carded rounds of 75 (+3) and 73 (+1) Tuesday. Holder is tied for 11th at 4-over for the tournament. Robyn Doig is also currently in the top 20 at +5 for the tournament. Doig is tied for 18th after posting scores of 76 (+4) and 73 (+1).
Fanny Cnops was in the top 10 early in the tournament after posting a first-round 73 (+1). But she slipped back to a tie for 25th after shooting a 6-over 78 in the second round to sit at +7 for the tournament.
Kaitlyn Price's first-round 73 (+1) counted toward UCF's team score. But her 82 (+10) pushed her back to a tie for 40th overall after the second round. Paola Robles struggled to an 80 (+8) in the first round, but she came back with a 77 (+5) that went toward the team score in the second round.
Wednesday's third and final round is slated to begin at 9 a.m. PT.
