LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - Day two of the 2013 USTA Clay Court Invitational for the UCF women's tennis team took place Friday at the Grand Cypress Tennis and Racquet Club.
A pair of Knights were impressive in singles play of the consolation round of 32. Josephine Haraldson came through with a 6-3, 6-2 win against Natasha Smith from New Mexico, and Courtney Griffith went the distance in her 6-2, 2-6, 1-0(10-7) victory over Oklahoma State's Maria Alvarez.
The rest of the action this weekend will return to ESPN's Wide World of Sports Complex. Saturday's slate will get underway with the secondary consolation bracket at 8:30 a.m.
