LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - Participating in the 2013 USTA Clay Court Invitational at ESPN's Wide World of Sports Complex, the UCF women's tennis team had four players in action on day one Thursday.

Advancing to the round of 32 in singles play, Caroline Eberhart shook off a first-set loss en route to a 5-7, 6-1, 6-2 victory over Florida State's Duda dos Santos. However Eberhart's run in the main draw came to a close when she fell to Vanderbilt's Frances Altick, 6-0, 6-3.

Doubles finished off the afternoon, where Eberhart teamed up with Josephine Haraldson for an 8-3 win over New Mexico's Natasha Smith and Emily Oliver. Eberhart and Haraldson will now look ahead to the round of 16 Friday, with all of the action taking place at Grand Cypress.
