BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (UCFKnights.com) - The UCF men's golf team finished fifth at the Shoal Creek Intercollegiate at the Shoal Creek Country Club Tuesday afternoon. The Knights finished the three-round tournament with an even-par score of 864 (285-288-291).
Ricardo Gouveia paced UCF with an eighth-place finish. He finished the tournament 3-under after posting scores of 69 (-3), 70 (-2) and 74 (+2). The Knights also got Top 20 finishes in the event from Greg Eason and Ryan Stovash. Eason (71-73-72-216) came in at even-par after three rounds and finished tied for 18th. Stovash (71-74-72-217) tied for 20th and finished 1-over.
Linus Vaisanen (74-73-73-220) tied for 32nd at 4-over, while Kyle Wilshire (76-72-74-222) was 6-over and finished in a tie for 39th.
UCF will wrap up the fall portion of its schedule October 20-22 as the Knights host the Isleworth Collegiate Invitational.
