ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Boasting 14 home dual-matches in the spring, the UCF women's tennis team announced its 2013-14 season schedule. The Knights will have a total of 16 events at the UCF Tennis Complex, beginning with the first UCF Quad Tournament Sept. 27-29.
UCF closed out 2013 with a 14-8 dual-match record, marking its most wins since the 1999-00 season. It also was the Black and Gold's final season in Conference USA as it enters the American Athletic Conference this year.
Following a fall campaign where the Knights take part in five tournaments, they will kick off the spring with the second UCF Quad Tournament Jan. 18-20. The dual-match schedule then gets underway with a pair of road contests against Florida Gulf Coast (Jan. 25) and Florida (Jan. 29) before UCF entertains South Alabama Jan. 31 which begins a seven-match homestand.
The Knights will have just one road trip out of the state in the spring when they visit Furman March 2 and UNC-Asheville March 4.
The regular season concludes on campus April 12 against FAU, setting the stage for the first American Athletic Conference Championship in Tampa April 17-20.
