ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Former UCF goalkeeper Aline Reis was recently chosen for the NSCAA's 30 Under 30 Coaches Program.

30 Under 30 is a year-long education and mentorship opportunity for a select few up-and-comers who have made soccer coaching their career of choice. This program was created to support fledgling coaches and foster their growth at a crucial point in their vocation.

More than 350 applicants vied for a position as the next great soccer coach, submitting their credentials for the inaugural edition of the program. Reis, who shined for the Knights between the posts from 2007-11, is a part of the 15 men and 15 women who will participate.

"Coaching is the perfect avenue to influence the lives of many young people in the same way other coaches have done for me," Reis said. "I'm so thankful for what soccer has brought to my life and for how much my coaches have helped me become a better person, and my intention is to keep paying it forward."

An All-American and two-time Scholar All-American, Reis was lauded as a Hermann Trophy Watch List candidate, a four-time all-region and all-conference honoree and a Senior CLASS finalist. She ranks second in school history for career saves (347), fourth for shutouts (27) and sixth for goals-against average (1.04).
