ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - UCF's new basketball court arrived on campus Friday with the fanfare that is usually reserved for former Presidents and other dignitaries. Accompanied by a UCF police escort and a special-detailed UPS flame truck, the new court was delivered to CFE Arena.
The high-profile delivery concluded an 11-hour trip for the UPS vehicles from Rossville, Ga., to Orlando. After the trucks arrived on campus, the floor was unloaded at the arena. On Sunday afternoon, workers will begin installing the court inside the arena and work on the new floor is expected to end Monday morning.
The new court design includes the stacked UCF logo prominently at center court. The Knights will make their debut in the American Athletic Conference this fall, and the new league logo is also featured on the floor. UCF's official Twitter account - @UCFKnights - is centered in front of the scorer's table and the #ChargeOn hashtag is located in front of each bench.
