Omar Vallejo
Senior - Forward - Reynosa, Mexico

Although Deshorn Brown received most of the attention, and for good reason, near the end of the 2012 season, Omar Vallejo might have been the Knights' most valuable player on the attacking end. In UCF's final five matches of the season, Vallejo, who was in his first campaign with the Knights after transferring from Ohio State, tallied three goals and four assists.

A native of Reynosa, Mexico, he finished the year with three goals and eight assists for 14 points. Selected to the All-Conference USA Third Team, Vallejo tied for first in the league in assists per game at 0.44.

Now a senior on a team that is welcoming a large recruiting class, Vallejo will be relied on for his experience. A three-year starter on the collegiate level, the forward will serve as the key to UCF's attack.

The Knights will be young up front, but with a talented leader like Vallejo, the potential is there for the group to excel in 2013.
