ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - UCF junior Greg Eason took part in the prestigious Palmer Cup June 7-9 at the Wilmington Country Club in Wilmington, Del.
Eason, a native of Leicester City, played as a member of Team Europe, which fell to Team USA by a final tally of 20.5-9.5. The Americans reclaimed the Palmer Cup and now lead the overall series by a tally of 9-7-1.
Eason finished the event strong. In Sunday's final round, he halved his match with Alex Carpenter of Abilene Christian University. Earlier in the day Sunday, Eason teamed with Arkansas' Sebastian Cappelen, a native of Denmark, to take a 1-up decision over Florida State's Daniel Berger and Sean Dale of North Florida.
Eason lost his second-round singles matchup and his first-round four-ball match.
Eason recently finished tied for eighth at the NCAA Championship and was named a PING First-Team All-America honoree. He was the Conference USA Player of the Year, as well.
