UCF Begins Play at NCAA East Regional

AUBURN, Ala. (UCFAthletics.com) - The NCAA women's golf team began play at the NCAA East Regional Championship Thursday. The Knights turned in a first-round total of 312 strokes (+24) at the Auburn University Club.

UCF finished the day in 21st place, with the second and third rounds slated for Friday and Saturday.

Carolin Pinegger was the top golfer for the Knights in the first round. She carded a 5-over 77 for the first round. Meanwhile, Paola Robles and Monifa Sealy were both 6-over (78) and are tied for 92nd. Robyn Doig shot a 79 (+7) and is tied for 95th to round out UCF's scoring. Kaitlyn Price also took part for the Knights, tying for 109th at 9-over (81).

The second round gets under way Friday morning.
