ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The final Bowerman Watch List of the outdoor season recognized two UCF track and field sprinters Thursday. Junior Aurieyall Scott returned to the list while sophomore Octavious Freeman also received mention.
Scott, who made her fourth career appearance, last warranted a nod in the final indoor edition. She will head to next week's NCAA Championships as the top qualifier in both the 100-and- 200-meter races. UCF's most decorated All-American is one of four sprinters being considered on the official list.
Freeman, who has seven career appearances, is also receiving mention with four other athletes. She travels to Eugene ranked among the top-three qualifiers in both the 100M and 200M races.
Semifinalists are released Tuesday, June 18.
Six members of the No. 8 UCF track and field team will represent the Black and Gold at the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Ore., June 5-8. The meet will be broadcasted on ESPN's network June 6-8.
