ALPHARETTA, Ga. (UCFAthletics.com) - In addition to teeing off in the first round of the NCAA Championship, UCF junior Greg Eason was honored as a PING All-Southeast Region selection Tuesday.
The PING all-region teams are selected by the Golf Coaches Association of America. A total of 155 student-athletes from six regions were named all-region, including 26 golfers from the Southeast Region. The GCAA will announce its All-America First Team later this week, with the balance of the team to be named in June.
Eason's all-region selection comes on the heels of his Conference USA Player of the Year award, as well as recognition on the All-CUSA First Team. Following the NCAA Championship, Eason is slated to take part in the prestigious Palmer Cup June 7-9 in Wilmington, Del.
