ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF men's basketball team posted its third-straight 20-win season in 2012-13, but the Knights success during the year was not limited to the court. Head coach Donnie Jones' squad also excelled in the classroom.

In the spring, the squad set a program-term record with a 2.851 GPA after achieving a fall-record 2.908. The Knights' academic year GPA of 2.880 was the best in school history.

Five Knights - Staphon Blair, Tyler Coons, Dylan Karell, Isaac Lang and Daiquan Walker - earned spots on the Conference USA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll with a 3.0 cumulative GPA or better. Bobby Horodyski recently received his bachelor's degree and two more former players are slated to graduate this summer.

"Our guys did a great job all year focusing on academics. I am proud of their effort and attention to detail," Jones said. "(Academic advisor) Jennifer Alger and her staff did a wonderful job with our team and these academic numbers are something that we can all take pride in."
