ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The No. 12 UCF track and field team will travel to its first out-of-state meet of the outdoor season this weekend at the Arkansas Invitational.
The trip marks the Knights' return to Fayetteville for the first time since Aurieyall Scott became the NCAA 60-meter champion and 200-meter runner-up and Octavious Freeman earned two bronze medals at the 2013 Indoor Championships.
In addition to host No. 5 Arkansas, the Knights will square off against No. 6 Florida, No. 22 Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Conference USA foe Tulsa.
UCF will begin competition Saturday at 2 p.m. with the pole vault before the races begin with the 4x100 relay at 4 p.m. The Knights are trailblazers in the relay as the only team in the NCAA that owns two performances among the nation's top five in 2013.
Live results from the meet will be available at FlashResults.com. Cox Sports Television (CST) is recording action Saturday for a tape-delay broadcast, which will air Thursday, May 2, at 8 p.m. (ET).
