ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - This past Monday was Earth Day and Arbor Day is right around the corner. What better time for UCF student-athletes and athletics staff members to get out and plant some trees?
UCF held Arbor Day In The Outfield Monday, planting numerous trees near the UCF Softball Complex. Among the student-athletes and staff taking part were members of the Knights softball program, who worked to beautify their facility.
This is a great event, softball student-athlete Brittanne Gasser said. This is my first time giving back by planting trees and it's cool that we're able to give back to the earth but also upgrade our facility. I didn't know all these people would be there. But I like that we came together to plant these trees.
