ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - UCF junior Greg Eason has been named Conference USA Men's Golfer of the Week for a second straight week after topping a loaded field at the Insperity ASU Invitational. Eason was co-medalist at the event that featured 12 Division I teams ranked in the top 50, along with the No. 3 Division II team and 16 ranked individuals.
Eason carded rounds of 2-under, 2-under and 3-under to finish 7-under and in a tie for first place at the Insperity ASU Invitational. He ended up as the runner-up in a playoff. The tournament field included 12 ranked Division I teams (13 total) and 16 ranked golfers.
Eason was the only golfer in the field to shoot under par in all three rounds and was one of 11 golfers to finish the tournament under par. He led the tournament in par-5 scoring, going 9-under throughout the event and was second in par-4 scoring, shooting 2-under. Eason tallied 14 birdies and an eagle through the three rounds, while going over par just eight times in 54 holes.
