ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Coming off a victory at the FAU Spring Break Championship last weekend, the 39th-ranked UCF men's golf team travels to Augusta, Ga. for the Insperity Augusta State Invitational Saturday and Sunday. The tournament begins Saturday with 36 holes and concludes with Sunday's third and final round.
This weekend's event will serve as the last regular-season event for the Knights prior to the Conference USA Championship.
The Augusta State Invitational will include one of the most talented fields UCF will face all season. The 15-team tournament features 12 Division I teams ranked in the Golfstat Top 50, including the Knights. Sixth-rated Texas is the highest-ranked team in the field. In addition, South Carolina-Aiken, the No. 3-ranked team in Division II, will also be taking part.
The field also includes nine Top 100 individuals, including UCF's Greg Eason, who is currently ranked No. 47.
The tournament takes place at the Par 72 Forest Hills Golf Club and is hosted by the Augusta Golf Association. The course will play at 7,142 yards during the Insperity Augusta State Invitational.
