Knights Remain Eighth at Darius Rucker Intercollegiate

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. (UCFAthletics.com) - The No. 42-ranked UCF women's golf team held strong in eighth place at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate at the Long Cove Club on Hilton Head Island Saturday. The Knights carded a team total of 302 (+18) to go 32-over for the tournament.

UCF is just two strokes out of seventh place, trailing No. 29 Tennessee. Meanwhile the Knights only trail No. 3 North Carolina and No. 17 Arizona State by six strokes, as the Tar Heels and Sun Devils are in a tie for fifth heading into Sunday's final round. No. 11 Vanderbilt leads the team competition at 10-over for the event. The Knights are also leading three teams slotted in front of them in the national rankings.

Monifa Sealy is pacing the Knights through two rounds of play. She is currently tied for 20th, after carding a 4-over 75 Saturday and sits at +7 for the tournament. Carolin Pinegger and Paola Robles are each tied for 26th, just one stroke back of Sealy, at 8-over. Robyn Doig rounded out the scoring for UCF at 9-over, which puts her in a tie for 35th.

Mary Mulcahy (+16) sits in a tie for 56th place, taking part in the tournament as an individual. Kaitlyn Price (+18) is also taking part for UCF and is tied for 64th.
