ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Keith Clanton and the UCF men's basketball team will conclude the 2012-13 campaign Saturday at Southern Miss. Tipoff at Reed Green Coliseum in Hattiesburg is 8 p.m. Eastern and the Knights (20-10, 9-6 Conference USA), who are currently tied for third in the league standings, will be looking to secure their second-straight top-three league finish.
The game will air on the UCF IMG Sports Network and its flagship station, 740 The Game in Orlando. Scott Adams' pregame coverage will begin at 7:30 p.m.
One of the greatest players in program history, and UCF's lone scholarship senior, Clanton will play his final game as a Knight Saturday. The Orlando native is UCF's all-time leader in rebounds, blocks and games played and will make his 121st-consecutive start at power forward.
On Wednesday, UCF registered its third-consecutive 20-win season when it held off host UAB, 74-70. Isaiah Sykes totaled 21 points, 11 boards and five assists in the win. The junior currently ranks in the top 10 in points (16.5/8th), rebounds (8.5/6th), assists (4.3/7th) and steals (2.3/1st) in league play and is on pace to become the first C-USA player to finish the season among the conference leaders in those four categories.
Southern Miss is 22-8 overall and 11-4 in C-USA competition. The Golden Eagles are 11-1 at home this year.
UCF will be playing its final game as a member of Conference USA.
