ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Seeding for the Conference USA Tournament is still up for grabs as the UCF women's basketball team heads to UAB this Thursday at 8 p.m. ET for its regular-season finale.

Depending on results around the league and with a win against the Blazers (17-11, 8-7) to split the season, the Knights (13-16, 7-8) could be one of as many as five teams gridlocked in a tie with an 8-8 conference record for the rights to the No. 4 seed and a first-round bye.

UCF is hitting its stride at the right time, winning six of its last eight games. Senior Gevenia Carter, who just reached the 1,000-point milestone in her last outing, is leading three players who are averaging double figures through the stretch with 19.1 points per game.

Junior Erika Jones is averaging a double-double through the last eight games with 10.9 points and 12.5 rebounds per game.

C-USA's Freshman of the Week Briahanna Jackson continues her quest of rewriting UCF's single-season steals record as she is nine thefts short of tying the 25-year-old mark. Jackson topped the league's freshman record against Marshall on Sunday and currently boasts 94 steals on the year to rank 13th in the country for steals per game (3.24).

She'll be squaring off against Karisma Chapman, whose quick hands rank 12th in the nation for steals per game (3.26).

UAB is just 1-7 in Thursday games this season, holding a 1-6 record in mid-week league games. The Blazers are one of the best defensive teams in the league, ranking second for points allowed per game (54.7). The magic number seems to be 50 -- UAB is 8-0 when holding an opponent to 50 points or less this year.

Amber Jones paces the Blazers in scoring with an average of 13.3 points per game and is followed closely by Chapman's 13 points and team-high 7.0 rebounds per game.
