ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF women's golf team will take part in the 2nd Annual Darius Rucker Intercollegiate at Long Cove Club in Hilton Head Island, S.C. this weekend. The Knights, currently ranked No. 42 in the nation in the latest Golfstat rankings, will be facing a strong field.
Twelve of the 14 teams entered in the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate are currently ranked in Golfstat's Top 50, while three of the squads are in the Top 10. No. 3 North Carolina, No. 4 Alabama and No. 8 Arkansas headline the field.
UCF finished fourth overall at this tournament in 2012. Taking part for the Knights this weekend will be Monifa Sealy, Robyn Doig, Kaitlyn Price, Paola Robles and Carolin Pinegger. Mary Mulcahy will also be taking part in the tournament as an individual. Sealy led the way for UCF at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate last year, finishing in a tie for 12th.
The three-day, 54-hole tournament is slated to begin Friday morning at 8:30 a.m. The Long Cove Club is a Par-71 course and will play at 6,211 yards. Live scoring for the tournament can be found by clicking here.
