LAKE WORTH, FLa. (UCFAthletics.com) - The No. 39-ranked UCF men's golf team won its third tournament of the season and its first of the spring Sunday. The Knights wrapped up the team title at the FAU Spring Break Championship at The Fountains Country Club, finishing 14-over and seven strokes in front of runners-up Florida Gulf Coast and Hartford.

UCF entered Sunday's final round with the lead and successfully defended that lead by the end of the day.

Greg Eason entered play on Sunday with the individual lead, but slipped to 3-under after shooting a 74 (+3). That allowed Jacksonville State's Tomasz Anderson to edge Eason by one stroke for medalist honors.

Ricardo Gouveia also turned in a Top 10 finish for the Knights, finishing 1-under for the tournament after shooting a 72 (+1) Sunday to take sixth place. Jose Joia was just outside the Top 10, tying for 11th after carding a three-round total of 4-over. Kyle Wilshire was the final scoring player for the Knights, finishing 14-over and tied for 39th. McCabe Buege was also in the field for UCF. He was 19-over and tied for 63rd.

UCF has one final tune-up before the Conference USA Championships. The Knights will play in the Insperity Augusta State Invitational this Saturday and Sunday in Augusta, Ga. The C-USA Championships are set for April 21-23 in Texarkana, Ark.
