JOHNS ISLAND, S.C. (UCFAthletics.com) - The No. 40-ranked UCF women's golf team finished seventh at the Briar's Creek Invitational, wrapping up play in the event Tuesday afternoon. The Knights finished 58-over for the 18-team tournament, which was won by No. 23 Notre Dame (+42).
Maryland, Coastal Carolina, No. 35 Campbell, Indiana and No. 45 East Carolina rounded out the top six. The individual medalist was Notre Dame's Ashley Armstrong, who finished 1-over for the tournament. The top UCF finisher was Monifa Sealy, who tied for 19th at 13-over.
Kaitlyn Price was tied for 23rd and finished the tournament at +15. Carolin Pinegger was just one stroke behind Price at 16-over and finished in a tie for 25th. Paola Robles wrapped up her tournament in a tie for 32nd by shooting a three-round total that was 17-over par. Robyn Doig also competed for UCF, finishing tied for 71st with a 26-over total.
UCF will be in action again April 8-9 at the marsh Landing Invitational, hosted by Jacksonville University. That event will be the Knights' final tune-up before the Conference USA Championship, which takes place April 22-24 in Gulf Shores, Ala.
