JOHNS ISLAND, S.C. (UCFAthletics.com) - Battling wind gusts of up to 40 miles-per-hour and sustained winds of 25-30 mph, the UCF women's golf team is just one stroke back at the Briar's Creek Invitational. Play took much longer than anticipated, mostly due to the high winds, and the second round was suspended with about six holes remaining.

The Knights were 34-over at the time play was suspended, while Coastal Carolina, Notre Dame and East Carolina were each +33.

Monifa Sealy led the way for UCF through the first day, going six-over. She is just four strokes off the individual lead and in a tie for 9th. Paola Robles is tied for 17th and is 9-over par. Kaitlyn Price is +10 and tied for 23rd, while Carolin Pinegger is tied for 31st and sits at 12-over. Robyn Doig is currently 13-over, as well.

The second round will resume at 8:15 a.m. Tuesday morning. Once the second round is complete, the third and final round will commence. Live scoring is available by clicking here.
