AUSTIN, Texas. (UCFAthletics.com) - Following a successful home regatta against Northeastern at the UCF Intercollegiate Rowing Center on Lake Pickett two weeks ago, the UCF rowing teams travels to Austin, Texas, to compete in the three-day Longhorn Invitational.
The regatta will take place on Lady Bird Lake and the Knights will enter first varsity eights, second varsity eights, novice eights and novice four races for each of the three days.
Racing starts Friday afternoon with four boats going against Iowa with all races taking off between 5:30 and 6:00 p.m.
Saturday morning the Knights take on Texas in four races, and then come back that afternoon to face Oklahoma and SMU in four more events.
To conclude the three-day event, the Knights will return to the water on Sunday. However, Sunday pairings will depend on the outcome of racing on Friday and Saturday. Stay tuned to UCFAthletics.com for the latest on Sunday's race schedule.
