ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The No. 40-ranked UCF women's golf team will be back in action again Monday and Tuesday, when they travel to John's Island, S.C. to take part in the Briar's Creek Invitational, hosted by the College of Charleston at the Briar's Creek Club.

The 17-team field will feature 15 teams ranked in the Top 100 and six teams ranked in the Top 50 by Golfstat. Coming into the event, the top-ranked teams in the tournament are No. 23 Notre Dame, No. 27 Penn State, No. 35 Campbell, No. 40 UCF and No. 45 East Carolina.

Knights' head coach Emily Marron feels her team stacks up well in this event and she is hoping to see them put together three solid rounds in South Carolina.

Briar's Creek is a new event for our schedule and we have heard wonderful things about the golf course, Marron said. We really feel that we have a good shot at contending for a win in our next two events. We know what this team is capable of and we are really looking forward to seeing them all perform well on the same day and post some low numbers.

The group Marron will send out to the course in search of those low scores includes Robyn Doig, Carolin Pinegger, Kaitlyn Price, Paola Robles and Monifa Sealy.

The Briar's Creek Invitational will begin Monday with 36 holes and conclude with 18 holes on Tuesday. The par-72 course will play at 6,120 yards. Live scoring will be available via Golfstat.com.
