ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Prior to kicking off its final slate of Conference USA games, the UCF baseball team will head to Jacksonville Wednesday for a noon matchup with the Dolphins (6-14) at John Sessions Stadium. The Knights (14-8) currently lead the season series, 2-1.

Winners in seven of its last eight games, UCF will send junior RHP Danny Davis (3-0, 2.84 ERA) to the mound for his first midweek start. He will be opposed by JU RHP Wes Torrez (0-1, 7.02 ERA). Davis earned his third win of the year in the March 9 matchup with the Dolphins, tossing 6 2/3 innings of four-hit ball while giving up just one run and striking out seven.

Holding a 37-34 all-time advantage in the series, the Knights were able to pick up a pair of weekend wins against JU on March 9-10. In the Sunday game at JU, the Knights broke a 4-4 tie in the top of the ninth on a Chris Taladay two-run single down the right-field line for their first road victory of the season.

After the series finale with the Dolphins, UCF will head to Birmingham, Ala., as it begins C-USA play at UAB Friday-Sunday.
