ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - UCF sprinter Aurieyall Scott is one of 10 student-athletes in the country named to the post-indoor season edition of the Bowerman Watch List released Thursday. Scott was named to the list for collegiate track and field's most prestigious honor in early March for the first time in her career and also received mention in early February.

She stands alongside an elite group who combined for 12 NCAA titles. Scott is the second Knight ever named to the list as fellow All-American sprinter Octavious Freeman was selected last season.

The Bowerman, which debuted in 2009, is presented annually to the most outstanding male and female collegiate track and field athletes in the nation.

The Greenbelt, Md., native cleaned up at the NCAA Indoor Championships last weekend with a silver medal in the 200 meters and UCF's first NCAA title in the 60 meters. With 11 All-American distinctions to her name, she is the program's most decorated student-athlete. She has won six of seven finals this season at both 60M and 200M this season.

Scott also earned Conference USA individual gold medals this year in the 60 and 200 meters along with a title in the 4×400 relay. She rose to the top of the NCAA leaderboard in the 60M with a blistering time of 7.13, placing her in a tie for fourth all-time among collegiate performers and giving her a share of the fifth-fastest time in collegiate history. She matched that time at the NCAA Championships to beat reigning champion Oregon's English Gardner for the crown.
