HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. (UCFAthletics.com) - The 42nd-ranked UCF women's golf team was consistent during the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate at Long Cove Club over the weekend. The Knights opened with a Friday score of 298 and carded back-to-back rounds of 302 Saturday and Sunday to finish 50-over and in a tie for eighth place. UCF was in eighth after both the first and second rounds, as well.
No. 4 Alabama won the team competition, finishing 24-over. UCF finished tied with No. 29 Tennessee for eighth, while No. 14 Georgia and No. 37 Auburn both finished behind the Knights in the 15-team event.
UCF was led by Carolin Pinegger, who finished 11-over for the tournament and tied for 22nd place. Monifa Sealy was tied for 27th and was 12-over for the three rounds of the event. Paola Robles finished the tournament 14-over and tied for 32nd, while Robyn Doig rounded out UCF's scoring with an 18-over tally and a tie for 45th place. Kaitlyn Price also took part for the Knights, finishing 22-over and in a tie for 58th. Mary Mulcahy (+34) played as an individual and finished in a tie for 75th.
