ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Earning back-to-back victories for the first time all season, the UCF men's tennis team defeated FAU 4-3 Friday to stay undefeated at the UCF Tennis Complex.

The Knights return to .500 by improving their record to 3-3 for the season.

UCF started slow when they dropped the doubles point, but sizzled down the stretch to win a thriller that was decided by Matthew Gladstone's 6-7 (4), 6-4, 6-1 triumph over Robert Dubuque in the last match at the No. 5 position.

Senior Jorge Blasco began the Knights' run as he eased to a 6-3, 6-2 win over Will Neuner at the No. 1 slot.

At the No. 6 spot, Francesc Aulina took care of business with a 6-4, 7-6 (4) victory over FAU's Sean Bacha.

Freshman Jose Sangroniz continues to impress after coming back from a first set defeat. He finished strong at the No. 4 position to get past Richard Meade 4-6, 6-2, 6-2.

"We were fortunate to come out of this match with a win," UCF head coach Bobby Cashman said. "I credit our guys at 4, 5, and 6 for coming up big when we needed them the most."

The Knights return to the court Tuesday for a 2 p.m. home match against Louisiana-Lafayette. Admission is always free at the UCF Tennis Complex.
