ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - After a dominant performance in the 200 meters that catapulted her to the top of the NCAA and world leader lists, Aurieyall Scott has been named the Conference USA Indoor Track and Field Female Athlete of the Week. She garnered her first weekly award of the season and the third for the team in the past four weeks.

Scott set a meet record, school record and new personal best in the 200M prelims at the 38th annual Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational on Friday night. Her blistering time of 23.14 bested the former Husker Invitational record of 23.50 set in 2006 by Stanford's Chauntae Bayne. It marked her second meet record of the season and also ranks as the second-best performance in the world this year.

All three of her 200M performances this year have ranked in the NCAA's top 10. She is the only athlete to claim two times that rank among the world's top five this year.

Scott is part of a sprinting corps that has separated itself on the national stage. Scott, Octavious Freeman and Dominique Booker are the only three teammates in the NCAA to rank among the top 10 in the 60 meters. Furthermore, the trio also stands in the top 20 of the 200 meters and helps comprise six Knights who currently boast nine marks that rank among the top 20 in the NCAA in their respective events.

The UCF track and field team maintained its No. 9 ranking in the latest USTFCCCA national poll Tuesday. The Knights are ranked third in the South Region.

Coupled with the outdoor season, UCF has not fallen out of the top 25 dating to April 26, 2011. UCF is the only Conference USA team present in the rankings and is second only to Florida (No. 7) among programs in the state of Florida.

UCF will once again split between two meets in the upcoming weekend, traveling to the Clemson Tiger Paw Invite in South Carolina and the Tyson Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark.
