ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF men's basketball team is back in Orlando after a long road trip and will host Marshall Wednesday. Tipoff is 7 p.m. at the UCF Arena.
The game is presented by Florida Hospital and is serving as UCF's pink game to raise awareness about cancer. The first 250 fans to enter the arena will receive free pink shirts and pom poms.
The Knights (17-8, 7-4 Conference USA) will look to get back on track after a pair of tough road contests last week. Isaiah Sykes is leading the team in scoring (15.5), rebounds (8.1) and assists (4.1) in conference play.
Keith Clanton will make his 124th appearance as a Knight Wednesday and will become the program's career leader in games played. The senior from Orlando also needs only one rebound to move to fifth on the C-USA career boards list. Clanton has 960 rebounds as a Knight.
UCF and Marshall have played some memorable contests in recent years and the home team has won each of the last six series matchups.
Marshall is 11-15 overall and 4-7 in league play. Elijah Pittman leads the Thundering Herd in scoring at 15.4 points per game and DeAndre Kane is seventh nationally in assists an outing at 7.2.
The UCF Arena box office will be open for ticket sales prior to the game. UCF students are admitted free with a valid school ID. The first 1,000 students to enter the arena will receive a free "We Are the Knightmare" t-shirt.
The game will air on the UCF IMG Sports Network and its flagship station, 740 The Game in Orlando. Pregame coverage with Marc Daniels and Taylor Young begins at 6:30 p.m. Live video and statistics will be available at UCFAthletics.com.
