ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF men's tennis team will defend its home court Sunday when it hosts Connecticut at 10 a.m. at the UCF Tennis Complex. Admission is free to the public.
The Knights are coming off an impressive 4-3 victory over Florida Gulf Coast on Friday, which improved the squads record to 4-4 on the season.
"Our guys are starting to buy-into our philosophy and as a result have been playing some really impressive tennis lately," UCF head coach Bobby Cashman said. "We need to continue to learn from our mistakes and improve on them with each match we play."
UCF is currently 3-1 during this five-match home stretch, which includes victories over Rollins, FAU and FGCU.
Connecticut won its first match of the season Friday, 4-3, over Weber International University. The Huskies had to cancel their first two matches due to inclement weather.
This marks the first time in school history the Black and Gold will compete against the Huskies.
