ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF men's tennis team will host Florida Gulf Coast Friday at 2 p.m. at the UCF Tennis Complex. Admission is free to the public.
UCF (3-4) is currently on a 2-1 stretch at home, including a heartbreaking 4-3 defeat Tuesday against No. 75 Louisiana-Lafayette.
"We played sloppy in some areas against Louisiana-Lafayette, and we let the match get away from us," UCF head coach Bobby Cashman said. "We can't afford those mistakes against any team, and need to improve in those areas moving forward."
Due to a rainout in 2011, UCF last competed against FGCU in 2009, dominating the Eagles 6-1 in the process.
FGCU is 2-3 on the season, losing to SMU 6-1 at home in their last match on Feb. 2.
This will be the fourth-of-five home contests for the Knights before their five-match road stint.
