ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF women's tennis team travels to Tallahassee this weekend to face off against No. 27 Florida State on Friday for a 3 p.m. match followed by a meeting with No. 61 Georgia State at noon on Saturday.

UCF holds a 5-1 record, marking the squad's best start since 2009-10 when it opened the year at 7-1.

The Knights are coming off an exciting match against Furman last Saturday when they came back from a 2-0 deficit to win 5-2 at the UCF Tennis Complex.

Genevieve Lorbergs and Josephine Haraldson picked up their seventh-straight doubles victory after grabbing a win from the Paladins' duo, avenging their 8-7 loss to them in January's UCF Invitational. The UCF duo is now 13-5 in 2012-13 and 6-0 at the No. 1 doubles spot. Lorbergs ultimately received Conference USA Player of the Week honors by going 4-0 last week.

Florida State claims a 4-1 record, and visited Orlando in January for the Knights' home tournament. The Seminoles have wins over Troy, FAMU, Rice and USF, and their lone loss was at Baylor. In the rankings, Daneika Borthwick sits at No. 35 in the country, while Francesca Segarelli is at No. 91 and Mia Vriens is No. 95.

Georgia State has a 2-3 record in 2013, defeating Syracuse and Oklahoma State only to fall to Georgia, Illinois and Auburn in its last three outings. Abigail Tere-Apisah ranks No. 28 in singles, and she has teamed up with Masa Grgan for a No. 32 ranking in doubles.

UCF will return home to host Florida Gulf Coast on Feb. 21 at the UCF Tennis Complex for a 2 p.m. match.
