ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Part two of UCFAthletics.com's season preview of the 2013 UCF baseball team focuses on the outfielders, and there is a lot of chance from a year ago, including a familiar face back in right field.
-Sr. Erik Hempe - Granted sixth year from NCAA after missing 2012 with a knee injury. Will hit in the middle of the lineup after starting 51 games and slugging 15 doubles and seven homers in 2011.
-Sr. Jeramy Matos - Former walk-on who has light-tower power. Started 30 games for the Knights in 2012 mostly at the DH spot.
-Jr. Parker Webster - Transfer from Southern Idaho has put together a strong fall and early spring while working mostly in left field and some at second base.
-So. Erik Barber - A late-game defensive sub a year ago that possess top-of-the-lineup qualities while being able to play multiple OF spots.
-So. Lorenzo Butler - Made the team after fall ball and can flat out fly on the base paths and in the field.
-So. JoMarcos Woods - Has spent the fall and early spring in CF for the Knights. Came on strong in C-USA play a year ago and appeared in 44 games as a rookie.
-Fr. Bo Decker - Local product from Clermont who was drafted in the 39th round by the New York Yankees in June.
-Fr. Ryan Reilly - Fearless fielder that made quite an impression on his teammates in the fall. Has the ability to steal bags after swiping 29 in his final two years of high school.
-Fr. Hunter Wildes - Lefty that gives the Knights another option as a two-way player that can field and pitch.
