ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF men's basketball team will face a huge road test Wednesday when it meets No. 22 Memphis at 8 p.m. Eastern at the FedEx Forum. The game will be televised live nationally on CBS Sports Network. Dave Ryan will handle the play-by-play and will be joined by Pete Gillen.
The Tigers (20-3, 9-0 Conference USA) have the nation's second-longest winning streak at 14 games and are 13-1 at home.
Memphis is first in the C-USA standings and the Knights (17-6 overall) are tied for second at 7-2. UCF has won six of its last seven contests, including a memorable 83-73 victory over East Carolina Saturday. Isaiah Sykes recorded his second triple-double of the year with 20 points, 16 boards and 11 assists and Keith Clanton became the program's all-time leader in rebounds.
Sykes leads the nation in triple-doubles and became only the second player in C-USA history to record multiple triple-doubles in a season.
The game is the first of two on the road this week for the Knights, who play at UTEP Saturday.
The Knights will be seeking their first win over the Tigers in Memphis. The Tigers have not lost since Dec. 15. Joe Jackson leads the team in scoring at 13.6 points per game.
UCF-Memphis will air on the UCF IMG Sports Network and its flagship station, 740 The Game in Orlando. Marc Daniels' pregame coverage begins at 7:30 p.m. Eastern. Live statistics and audio will be available at UCFAthletics.com.
