ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF women's golf team started Monday's second round of the UCF Challenge tied for second place. By midway through the day, the Knights had slipped back as far as sixth, but they finished strong on the back nine and pulled themselves back into a tie for second by the end of the round.
North Carolina was the only team to shoot under par in Monday's warm, windy conditions at RedTail Golf Club. The Tarheels are 11-under for the tournament and hold the lead going into Tuesday's third and final round. UCF and Tulane are tied for second at 5-over. East Carolina and Augusta State are tied for fourth at 11-over par.
UCF was led by Monifa Sealy, who is currently in a tie for seventh place after her even-par round of 72 Monday. Sealy sits at 1-under for the tournament.
