ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - UCF will take its four-game winning streak to Marshall Saturday when the Knights meet the Thundering Herd for a 2 p.m. Conference USA contest at the Cam Henderson Center. CSS will televise the game from Huntington, W.Va., throughout the southeast and fans in central Florida can watch live on Bright House Sports Network.
UCF (15-5, 5-1 C-USA) has won four-consecutive contests, tied for its longest C-USA winning streak since joining the league in 2005. Isaiah Sykes has registered four-straight 20-point performances and scored 20 points to go with nine boards in a 58-50 victory at Tulane Wednesday. The junior guard is third in C-USA in scoring in league games at 17.0 points.
The Knights have enjoyed success away from home this year. The squad is 4-2 on the road this season and has already topped its road win total from a year ago when it went 3-9.
Marshall is 9-12 overall and 2-4 in league play. The Thundering Herd, who are 8-3 at home, faced a challenging non-league schedule with games against Villanova, West Virginia, Cincinnati and Kentucky. DeAndre Kane leads the team in scoring at 14.9 points and is averaging a league-best 6.9 assists.
A West Virginia native, UCF head coach Donnie Jones served as Marshall's head coach for three years before heading to Orlando. The Knights will be seeking their first win in Huntington since 2007.
The contest will air on the UCF IMG Sports Network and its flagship station, 740 The Game in Orlando with Marc Daniels on the call. Pregame coverage begins at 1:30 p.m. Live statistics and audio will be available at UCFAthletics.com.
