LINCOLN, Neb. (UCFAthletics.com) - Junior Aurieyall Scott stole the show for the No. 9 UCF track and field team at the 38th annual Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational on Friday night with a meet record, school record and new personal best in the 200 meters.

Scott's blistering time of 23.14 is the NCAA's new leading time and currently ranks second in the world this year. She bested the former Husker Invitational record of 23.50 set in 2006 by Stanford's Chauntae Bayne.

Scott was just one of four Knights to post the best qualifying times of day one at the Bob Devaney Sports Center.

Sophomore Octavious Freeman led three Knights who advanced to Saturday's 60-meter championship final with the fastest-qualifying time (7.23) that fell short of the meet record by one-hundredth of a second. She also qualified for the 200m finals with the fourth-quickest time, 23.81.

Scott finished a toe behind Freeman in the 60m at 7.24, missing her season best by one-hundredth of a second, and junior Dominique Booker came in sixth at 7.39. Freshman Alexis Faulknor hit a personal-best 7.49 and Amanda Leland topped her season best at 7.64.

Senior Lutisha Bowen heads into Saturday's 60-hurdles final as the favorite after recording a personal-best 8.22 for the fastest-qualifying time of the day. The performance ranks seventh in the NCAA.

In the 400 meters, junior Afia Charles crossed the finish line with her second-best time of the season, 54.78, for the top mark of the day.

Sophomore Precious Ogunleye rounded out the day with the Knights' best finish in the weight throw in sixth place with a toss of 17.84m/58-06.50.
