ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Part one of UCFAthletics.com's season preview of the 2013 UCF baseball team focuses on the infielders, and there are several familiar faces back this season with the addition progressing underclassmen and newcomers.

-Sr. Ryan Breen - Loads of experience from behind the plate with 137 games started as a Knight. Critical bat that can hit wherever in the lineup.

-Sr. Chris Taladay - Will see most of time at 3B while seeing some action behind the plate. Led team in '12 with 78 hits and will look to progress further in final campaign.

-Sr. Nick Carrillo - Appeared in 43 games in '12 while splitting time in LF and at 3B. Brings versatility to the team with pop in his bat from the left side.

-Sr. Austin Johnston - Veteran leadership will be added bonus in the infield. Started 49 games in rookie year, and looks to shake off injuries that hindered '12 season.

-Jr. Bret Gordon - Walk-on that made the squad in fall ball. Can play anywhere from 2B, SS to 3B.

-RS So. Spencer Haynes - Spot started at 2B a year ago while seeing action in 16 games. Has great range from the left or right side of the middle infield.

-So. Dale Irving - Only other full-time catcher behind Breen. Served as the primary bullpen catcher a year ago.

-So. James Vasquez - Appeared in 34 games a year ago, primarily as a DH. Will look to capitalize off strong summer and fall where he played primarily at 1B.

-So. Tommy Williams - A natural shortstop that can play multiple infield positions. Saw time in 11 games, including five starts a year ago.

-Fr. Jarrod Petree - Local product from Apopka that can play the middle infield and pitch.
