ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF men's basketball team will be seeking its fourth-straight win Wednesday when the Knights face Tulane in New Orleans. Tipoff at Devlin Fieldhouse for the Conference USA contest is 8 p.m. Eastern.
The Knights (14-5, 4-1 Conference USA) are off to a solid start in league play under head coach Donnie Jones. Four UCF players - Isaiah Sykes (16.4 points per game), Keith Clanton (15.8), Calvin Newell (15.6) and Tristan Spurlock (13.8) - are averaging double digits in scoring in C-USA play. Sykes, who scored 21 points and had 10 boards in Saturday's win over SMU, has 3-straight 20-point performances and was selected as the C-USA Player of the Week on Monday.
The game will air on the UCF IMG Sports Network and its flagship station, 740 The Game in Orlando. Marc Daniels' pregame coverage begins at 7:30 p.m.
The contest is the first of two on the road this week for the Knights. UCF plays at Marshall Saturday. The squad's next home game is set for Wednesday, Feb. 6 against Southern Miss.
Tulane is 14-6 overall and 2-3 in league competition. Josh Davis is averaging 17.5 points and 10.3 boards to lead the Green Wave, who recorded a notable non-league win over Alabama in late December.
On Wednesday, live video, audio and statistics will be available at UCFAthletics.com.
